We would be happy for anyone currently teaching piano to join CAPTA!
Traditionally, CAPTA meets the second Thursday of each month from September through May at 9:30 a.m. at the Cary Arts Center located 101 Dry Avenue at the north end of Kildaire Farm Road in Cary. Exceptions are in December and May when we meet for a brunch at a different location. This will be announced in our online newsletter and you can see all upcoming CAPTA activities (and contact links) on the Google Calendar on our homepage. We feature several outstanding speakers during the year and also sponsor a Master Class/Recital, two competitions, theory testing, and two CAPTA student recitals. We also sponsor a themed educational workshop for elementary age students of all abilities in alternating years.
The deadline for full active membership is September 30th. However, members are welcome to join throughout the year. Active membership is available to all teachers who are currently teaching piano. Membership dues are $40.00 for the current year and are payable no later than May 15. A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed for all renewing members paying after May 15. New members who join between May 15 and December 31 pay full dues of $40.00. New members who join between January 1 and the May meeting (the last program of the year) pay one-half of annual dues ($20.00).
